The ST12240-60W is oversized to withstand the 24/7 stress that is common in mining and heavy equipment applications.

We know that maintenance bosses are frustrated with the current so-called "mine spec" lighting on the market. $500+ for a similar offering with an abysmal 500 hour lifespan is simply unacceptable. We have worked closely with Australia's leading mining companies and listened closely to the concerns and rigorous requirements of the industry's most experienced maintenance managers to develop a work light that meets all requirements.

We know that operators will never turn these devices off, day or night. That's why we built in a circuit that briefly limits the current when the temperature exceeds a predetermined parameter. We know that power surges are common, which is why we have built in overvoltage and undervoltage protection. Communication and GPS must always be open, no problem, our lights are built to eliminate RFI and EMI exposure. 5mm thick Series 3 stainless steel brackets with added shock absorption means we insist these be used on your most brutal machine.

The STEDI Shock 6 has passed the following tests according to the standard, with the criterion that "all components of the lamp must remain intact and in their original place. The lamp must function normally after the test."

Test method 1:
Vibration test according to MIL-STD - 810G 514.6 - test run for 4 hours vertically and 2 hours laterally at a frequency of 5 - 500Hz

Test method 2:
Impact test of the housing: Drop weight with a mass of 240g from a height of 1000mm onto the housing

Lens impact test: Drop weight with a mass of 250 g onto the lens from a height of 510 mm
