Manufactured from 60.3mm tubular steel, they are attached to the frame using a combination of mounting brackets, M10 screws and fasteners.
The rock sliders are black, textured, powder coated.
The rock sliders only work on vehicles with the so-called “impact absorber”. This is a small rectangle made of sheet metal that is attached next to the front trailing arms.

This item is delivered without a parts certificate or test report. As a result of the assembly, the operating license of the vehicle expires if a test prescribed in accordance with StVZO §19, paragraph 2 in conjunction with §21 is not carried out immediately. After the technical modification has been carried out, the vehicle must therefore be presented immediately to an officially recognized expert at a technical testing center.
However, the respective expert/inspector is free to refuse entry!
