Vehicle compatibility
The ScanGauge is designed to plug directly into the under-dash OBDII diagnostic port on 1996 and newer cars and light trucks. Some vehicles built before 1996 may also be compatible with ScanGauge products

2 meter cable and window mount
The ScanGauge can be mounted under the dashboard up to 2 meters from the diagnostic port. Using the included suction cup windshield mount, the ScanGauge can be quickly removed and then used to troubleshoot other vehicles.

ScanGauge III provides real-time readouts that show you what's going on "under the hood" with built-in digital gauges. The screen allows you to select and display up to 9 gauges at once, allowing you to monitor your vehicle's current operating conditions in real-time.
In addition to the standard set of gauges, ScanGauge III also includes exclusive X-Gauge technology. XGauge allows you to add additional vehicle-specific gauges automatically with the NEW Auto Scan for XGauges or by manual entry.
Exclusive vehicle-specific measuring system
The ScanGauge III features the exclusive vehicle-specific X-GAUGE™ display system; you can monitor parameters such as transmission temperature, oil temperature, driving data and fuel economy information. X-Gauge™ gives you the ability to customize your ScanGauge III by adding additional vehicle-specific digital gauges. Automatic travel computers
With four built-in trip computers, the ScanGauge can record everything from fuel costs to distance traveled and everything in between. The data is stored on the ScanGauge and remains intact even if the power is lost. Each trip computer starts automatically and the information is available at any time during the trip.
Time and distance computer
The ScanGauge has three time and distance dependent trip computers. These include the current trip, today's trip and the previous day's trip. Each trip computer starts automatically and records the following parameters:

- Maximum coolant temperature
- Distance travelled
- Maximum speed
- Hours driven
- Maximum KM/H
- Average KM/H
- Fuel costs
Tank Trip
The ScanGauge contains a trip computer that is based on the current tank level and starts automatically when you tell the ScanGauge that you have filled your tank.

Reset the engine light!
The ScanGauge III can look for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and show how many there are. You can also view pending codes to identify problems before they get worse. The ScanGauge III can check your vehicle for emissions and let you know which tests failed before you take your vehicle in for emissions testing.
Read and clear pending error codes
If no codes are found and the check engine light is still on, your vehicle may be storing pending codes. The ScanGauge III provides a method to clear all detected or unrecognized trouble codes with just a few touches of the screen.
