The ARB differential lock can be installed later. The big advantage of this switchable lock is that the differential works like an open one in traffic.

In the field, if the situation requires it, the lock is activated within 1/10 of a second by pressing a button, with 100% effectiveness. Installation is possible without much effort, only the differential cage needs to be replaced. The compressor required for the system provides the necessary pressure to lock the differential at the push of a button.
When switching on, an annular piston built into the differential is actuated, which ensures that the differential is locked. When it is switched off again, the compressed air escapes from the solenoid valve and small high-performance springs release the locking ring. Then the differential acts as a normal "open" differential.

Any accessories shown such as ball, roller and roller bearings are not included in the scope of delivery.
In principle, installation should be carried out by a specialist workshop. If there is an original differential lock installed by the manufacturer, in most cases it cannot be replaced with an ARB airlocker or only with great effort.
